Client: Robert Shapiro and Associates
Project: Direct Mail Marketing Campaign
Target: Professional Service Firms
Challenge: To develop a three dimensional mailing piece that could not avoid being noticed
Solution: I designed a book cover to fit a novel size book with completely blank pages. The cover was designed to look as if the recipient wrote it. In this case, it was "written" by Gary Phillips, the Managing Partner of a law firm being solicited.
The inside front cover contains the bio and a "photograph" of the "author". The inside back cover contains corporate information about the "publisher" - Robert Shapiro and Associates.
Before mailing each book, Robert Shapiro wrote on page 1: "Let's get together and fill the pages!"
Result: Robert Shapiro was able to "get in the door" of several of his targets, leading to new clients and increased revenues.

As a photograph of each target was difficult to obtain, I used a photograph of someone with their hands in front of their face.
